Hello, Coolpad Note 3 users it is great news for you that officially Marshmallow update has been released by Team Coolpad which has a better user interface and gives you a rich experience. We will discuss the new operating system and its bugs which are still present due to it being still in beta testing mode.

As I was a Beta user before the release of the marshmallow update officially, I can relate that there were many bugs present which has been fixed now to bring a stable ROM but still few present which will be fixed soon in the up coming updates.

The developers have worked tremendously to polish this update and as of now, you can either flash the stock ROM using TWRP recovery or by using SP Flash tools, whichever is convenient to you. The Coolpad Note 3 Marshmallow Stock Rom is based on Cool UI 8.0, and there are two variants of this ROM, the one being a pure stock ROM which is untouched and the other is pre-rooted.

SP Flash Tools Method

Instructions

Step 1: Extract SP_Flash_6.0.010.P0.160520.CP8676_I02.rar on your PC/Laptop

Step 2: In the SP Flash tool folder right click on flash_tool.exe and run as administrator 

Step 3: When the SP Flash tool window opens > Click on scatter loading and select MT6753_Android_scatter.txt and press download

Step 4: Switch off your Coolpad Note 3 and connect it using USB Cable

Step 5: Press Volume Up Button twice and you can then see the flashing process on your Laptop screen

Step 6: It will get rebooted automatically

Special Instructions (Before Flashing)

• Keep the battery charged above 50 %
• Back up your data and IMEI number before flashing

• Do a factory reset once. Because few apps are optimized for Lollipop/Marshmallow, it might conflict.
• It is not necessary to factory reset but, it helps in preventing the minor OS bugs

STOCK ROM (ROOTED)

Flashable Method

Instructions

Step 1: Copy the Coolpad Note 3 Marshmallow Stock ROM to your SD Card

Step 2: Now go to TWRP recovery menu (follow this guide to install TWRP)

Step 3: Boot into TWRP recovery menu and select Wipe > Advance wipe & choose Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Cache, Data and “Swipe to Wipe.”

Step 4 : Go back and click Install > (Up A Level) > external_sd > select the firmware

Step 5: Once it is done then Reboot
